While the paint was drying we went outside to collect some leaves to stick on. Harry spotted the twig and told me it was the tree.

Autumn leaves collage
I love this Autumn leaves painting. I had drawn a tree shape in chalk for Harry to paint brown and then stick leaves to, but he decided to paint the whole page brown instead. He then saw the red, blue and yellow paint bottles left on the table and asked me to squirt it onto the paper for him to paint with.

Incy Wincy Spider Craft
With spiders taking over our garden and house at the moment (which Harry loves and I hate!) we thought it would be fun to make a toy spider. Harry LOVES singing nursery rhymes so we decided to make rain, a sunshine and a drain pipe so he could act out the nursery rhyme 'Incy Wincy Spider'.
We made the spiders out a section of an egg box and painted it blue (harry's choice). Once it was dry I made holes in the egg box and harry helped me to poke the pipe cleaners through for the legs. Harry enjoyed helping to add googly eyes and a smile (to make it a friendly spider).
For the drain pipe I covered a piece of cardboard in kitchen foil. The sunshine was cut out of yellow paper and harry enjoyed sorting out the yellow items from our collage box to stick onto it. We used long pieces of tinsel for the rain and put a bit of tape around the top of it to create a handle.
Harry has played with it every day since making it, either singing the song or chasing his dad around the house with the spider.
